BioNano Genomic’s Irys Platform has been selected as the Bronze winner in the In vitro diagnostic category of the 2013 Medical Design Excellence Awards competition. HSD and Sparton Medical collaborated with BioNano Genomics to design the Irys Instrument and Chip. The Irys Platform is an automated high-resolution single-molecule imager to analyze linearized single DNA molecules in IrysChip nanochannel arrays. The system allows the study of unique aspects of genomes that cannot currently be detected by other methods.
