A natural overlap in the product design process is the User Experience (UX). HSD’s multidisciplinary expertise allows our UX team to collaborate with the industrial design and engineering teams to define the interaction between the human and the device.

Integrated Expertise. Our UX designers have skills in user research, user interface design, and industrial design, making physical to digital workflow our specialty. Our UX-UI process focuses on the user, ensuring the final product works in harmony with the environment and adapts to changing user needs.

Formative and Summative Testing. HSD brings usability knowledge to UI design and development through formative and summative evaluations with end users and key opinion leaders. We conduct Formative Studies early in the development process to identify potential issues with the design and to support decision making throughout the project. We offer Summative Testing on devices ready for market in their intended context of use or simulated context of use. The Summative Usability study fulfills FDA standards for Design Validation through the application of established human factors and principles.

Accelerated Process. We integrated the SCRUM methodology into our design process in order to quickly deliver iterations and prototypes for early user feedback. We also value close collaboration with our clients to design a familiar visual experience and memorable brand language across all products.
