Reorganized Industrial Design Firm Now Offers Enhanced Client Services

Monday, May 9th, 2011

PRESS RELEASE

Gladstone, NJ, May 9, 2011 - HS Design (www.hs-design.com), a leading full service design and product development firm specializing in medical, healthcare, national security and consumer markets, has announced a major reorganization that will allow the firm to respond more quickly and effectively to the needs of its future and current clients.

Formerly the exclusive design and engineering service provider for MedPlast, a precision molder of engineered thermoplastics and elastomers for healthcare and pharmaceutical markets, HS Design is now a fully independent organization able to offer its wealth of product design and development expertise to all manufacturers of custom molded plastic and elastomeric components.

“Our decision to conclude our formal relationship with MedPlast presents an enormous opportunity not only to future clients, but also to our current client base,” said Tor Alden, Partner, HS Design.  “Although we still value our long relationship with MedPlast, we now have the ability to work with other leading molders around the globe.  This will allow us to broaden our base of molding and manufacturing partners, optimize design for manufacturing (DFM) and reduce product time to market for our clients.”

HS Design is one of the nation’s premier sources for product development, specializing in industrial design, engineering, user-interface and prototype verification leading to manufacturing.

“For over 40 years, we have been integrating insight, experience and innovation with user needs and client core competencies to develop products that offer a strategic advantage in the marketplace,” said Alden.  “Our combination of research, industrial design and engineering allows us to develop leading edge designs ranging from complex medical devices to fashion forward consumer products.  Our integration with the manufacturing community then makes it a reality.”
