Recently, our Frederick team experienced a really fun event. Joe Haynes, one of our Electrical Engineers, is also a very talented artist. On Cinco de May, he dedicated the afternoon to gathering our team, away from the demands of the projects and tasks at hand and taught us all some of the basics of the craft of which he’s both passionate and proficie. In addition to teaching some basic principles of color and painting techniques, he then guided us, step by step, in painting a Mexican landscape scene using oil paint and the alla prima method. Joe reflected “I had a lot of fun painting with the team! I found it really interesting how unique each person’s painting was from one another even though almost all of us were painting the same scene! Overall, the team did really well and made great paintings!”

With the added fun of a nacho bar and margaritas (it was Cinco de Mayo after all!) the whole team would consider it one of the most fun events we have shared.
