Check out the article in the Baltimore Sun about how the Ambio Health system is empowering patients to monitor themselves. They report zero hospital readmissions after 90 days. Normally about 1/3 of patients would be readmitted within 90 days. HSD is proud to have been part of design and development for this patient centric product.
Janet Bettger, a health services researcher at the Duke Clinical Research Institute who helped craft Sinai’s program, said “A lot of self-management is related to behavior change. It needs to become routine and stick. In so many cases the patients don’t get to that point. We need to be involved and track them and empower them.”
Making product personal to a patients needs is the future of healthcare management.
