MicroCal PEAQ-ITC
The MicroCal PEAQ-ITC platform was redesigned in collaboration with GE Healthcare Life Sciences to provide increased functionality and intuitive usability. The product, designed for research laboratories studying biomolecular interactions, provides accurate heat measurements and fast results for technicians. The team collaborated to develop a holistic system, providing solutions for component storage, fluidic management and pathways. This approach helped to streamline product use and improve efficiency through thoughtful component organization and operation in the product.
Like in any laboratory, bench top space is essential for most operations, but is often extremely limited. Minimizing bench top space by reducing product footprint was critical in the design and development of the MicroCal PEAQ-ITC. Designers, engineers, scientists and manufacturers worked together to create a system architecture that reduced the product’s footprint while creating a simple, open aesthetic to increase workflow.
