Bios Defender/Definer Series receives 2008 Industrial Design Excellence Award – IDEA. The Defender and Definer Primary Flow Meters are field-portable primary gas flow meters. Connecting this meter to a gas source allows for accurate measurement of gas flow, and if optioned, gas pressure and gas temperature. The Defender version is focused on the industrial hygiene and environmental pollution monitoring industries for calibration of air sampling and pollution monitoring equipment; the Definer version has additional functionality and accuracy for use in industrial manufacturing processes, laboratory flow measurement, and measurement of gases in pharmaceutical and medical applications. These instruments were designed for simplicity in which a technician can easily obtain gas flow measurements with the simple push of a button.
